Joe life was taken away on the 31st October 2009 along with a 25-year-old Male Tony Croft, Both Tony and Joe Died at the sence of the accident,

Died at age 16.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of a car crash at midday on the 31st of October 2009 in the north of Uckfield (on the A26). A lorry hit the car he was in which was driven by Tony Croft aged 25, who also died.

Two dead and two injured in A26 road crash...

Two people have been killed in a road crash involving a car and a lorry.

Sussex Police have closed off the A26 at Herons Ghyll, near Uckfield, in both directions following the collision at midday today.

Another two people have been taken to hospital. The road is expected to be closed for several hours while police carry out their investigations.

Emergency services have also attended a second collision this afternoon at the Southerham roundabout on the A27, near Lewes.

A car collided with a crash barrier, trapping the driver, at about 1.30pm. The westbound carriageway is closed.

A Sussex Police spokesman said there had already been 15 crashes across the county today by 2pm, including on the A23 at Handcross and the A27 at Shoreham.

Double death crash tragedy for Crowborough hockey players

TWO young Crowborough hockey players died in a car crash as they travelled to an away match on Saturday.
They were killed when a Peugeot 306 collided with a tipper lorry at Heron's Ghyll on the A26 south of Crowborough.
Another two in the same car were seriously injured in the accident and taken to the Kent and Sussex Hospital in Tunbridge Wells.
The quartet from Crowborough Hockey Club were on their way to a 2nd X1 away fixture in Worthing.
The driver Tony Croft, 25, and passenger Joe Grunwell, 16, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Their injured colleague Chris Somers, 15, remains in hospital while Matthew Burns, 21 was discharged on Monday.
The driver of the lorry, a 63-year-old man from Eastbourne, was uninjured.
Dozens of the victims' friends visited the crash scene on Sunday to pay their respects and lay floral tributes.
Tributes were also left at the skate park in Crowborough where Mr Croft used to skate.
The road remained closed for more than seven hours following the collision while investigators examined the scene.

Fatal crash update - A26, Herons Ghyll

Police have named the two people who died in a road traffic collision on the A26 at Herons Ghyll, between Uckfield and Crowborough, on Saturday (October 31) as the driver Tony Croft, 25, of Forest Dene, Crowborough and passenger Joseph Grunwell, 16, of Millbrook Road, Crowborough.

Two other passengers, aged 15 and 21, both from Crowborough, received serious, but not life-threatening injuries in the crash, which happened at noon just north of the old Mayhew chicken factory. A white Peugeot 306, travelling south was in collision with a blue Scania tipper truck driven by a 63-year-old man from Eastbourne, who was uninjured.
